The YEAR Project
​

Established in 2013, YEAR is a Causeway Rural and Urban Network project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Our aim is to empower young people aged 14 - 24 to achieve success and prosperity through youth-led initiatives.

We actively engage with young people to provide appealing and appropriate opportunities allowing them  to access training, resources and services that they might not otherwise be exposed to.

Our offices are based in the Causeway Rural & Urban Network (CRUN) building on Brook Street in Coleraine, however delivery of our programmes is undertaken within the local communities.

Referrals from other organisations are welcome. Alternatively young people are welcome to contact us directly.

Youth Advisory Group

Our Youth Advisory Group is a group of young people who have previously been participants in one or more of our programmes. This team of dedicated individuals advise us on issues relating to young people and help us direct our work so that we are always providing a relevant service and are better able to meet the needs of our young people.

This group provides an opportunity for young people to have their voices heard and to be actively involved in representing young people in their areas. We are very proud of our group members and the contributions they make to the YEAR project, they are very positive role models and an example of how to be active citizens.

Youth Management Board

The Youth Management Board are a group of young, active citizens who we support in their efforts to raise awareness of the issues and barriers facing young people in their journey to adulthood. These dedicated young people are responsible for planning events, chairing meetings and seeking funding to provide services and support for other young people.
